In 2024, we successfully undertook the migration of a client from their existing Gmail platform to Microsoft Office 365, an important step in enhancing their email management capabilities.

To facilitate this transition, the client utilized Google’s Takeout procedure, a valuable tool that enabled us to effectively convert and import their existing emails into Microsoft 365. This strategic move significantly streamlined the migration process and, as an added benefit, by having the client perform this step, we were able to avoid the need for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) every single time we needed to log into their new email system.

One crucial aspect of this migration process was to meticulously verify that the total number of emails held in the Gmail account corresponded accurately to the total number of emails that were successfully imported into Microsoft 365. This verification step was essential to ensure data integrity and to confirm that no important emails were lost in the transition.
